I don’t know if I’m getting wiser or just learning every day. We live in a very fast paced world. We need to slow down and take a breath.
I’ve had my share of speeding tickets and close calls while driving only to get at my destination 2-3 minutes faster. I’ve made it a practice to turn on my GPS before leaving to my next destination and programing when I should arrive. It’s amazing how accurate these little machines are. It also lets me call my destination if I will be late, and if there is a conflict with time it gives me the opportunity to reschedule. Most people are accommodating and appreciate the heads up. This fall, when you “need” to be somewhere, turn on your GPS and take your time and notify people that you may be a few or more minutes late and slow down. A speeding ticket or an accident will take far longer than 2-3 minutes.
