After spending the last couple of days in PEI assisting an independent consultant hand-dig 4R potato fertility plots that are utilizing both ALPINE G24 and ALPINE SRN, it certainly reinforces how well ALPINE Phazed Nutrition programs fit into 4R programs.

Right Product:  ALPINE products are convenient to use compared to dry fertilizers and are readily available for quick root or leaf uptake.

Right Place:   ALPINE starter fertilizer products can be applied directly onto the seed, where the roots don’t have to grow out several inches to reach it.   ALPINE foliar nutrition products are applied directly to plant foliage for immediate plant uptake.  During stressful periods, soil-applied nutrients can become unavailable for root uptake making foliar applications very effective for carry plants through stress periods.

Right Timing:  ALPINE G24 is applied at seeding, and with its high phosphorus content provides the key nutrients most essential for early plant growth to get crops off to the best start.   Foliar products can be chosen to top-up nutrients during periods of high demand or used to correct nutrient deficiencies.

Right Amount:  When incorporated into a sound agronomic program both starters and foliars from ALPINE provide exactly what is needed to get the job done that they’re intended for.
