Well another harvest in the books!! (well for the most part anyway as there is still a bit of crop out)!! It has been a challenge to get the harvest completed, trying to work around all the wet weather this fall but again most farms have succeeded and have the crop in the bin!!! We congratulate you all on beating the odds and getting it done, Great work!!! Now comes the job of marketing what is left to market and getting the crop moved into market, turning all that grain into cash in the bank rather than crop in the bin. Yea I know it would be nice if more would stay in the bank but as the world turns!!! LOL. What can you do!!
Time now to crunch the numbers and look forward to next year. With fall and winter fast approaching it will soon be time to attend all the shows, read all the new material, check out all the new equipment and to see what happened with all the research trials in 2015 to know what may best suit your farm for 2016. We at Alpine are now busy going through all the data and crunching all the numbers to see what worked (and sometimes what didn’t) in 2015 so we can give you the best information possible to help you move forward and help you make all your best decisions for your farm in 2016. We hope to have a lot of this information available shortly so please contact any of us with any questions you may have.
I look forward to talking too many of you through the fall and winter months of 2015/2016 to discuss our trials and let you know what’s new for 2016 at Alpine. Please feel free to contact myself anytime to discuss trials or any questions you may have. Thanks and we look forward to 2016.
