Parting with your hard earned money can be tough. It’s even more difficult when you don’t know what you’re spending it on! Too many fertilizer products out there claim to have a certain analysis and unfortunately don’t. It’s very easy to scratch some numbers on a label and call it good, but where is the protection to the consumer??
Having recently tested some competitive phos products and finding a low analysis is frustrating to the producer who thinks he has paid for something and getting another. Luckily at our ALPINE manufacturing plant located in Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan; we regularly test our ALPINE G22 starter phos to ensure the customer is getting what they paid for. Also the majority of it is shipped from the plant directly to the farmer, ensuring little chance of contamination, unlike competitive products manufactured and shipped from China.
I also find it funny what others consider high orthophosphate. In my opinion, to be recognized as a high percent I would think the number should at minimum be over 50%, but other manufacturers would tell you that 39% would be considered “high”. ALPINE G22 boasts a high, 70% orthophosphate percent. So next time your spending your hard earned dollars on a starter fertilizer, ask a few questions. What’s really in it? Where does it come from? Am I actually going to get what I paid for? All valid questions that you deserve to know.
