ALPINE Potato Program – powered by K-Tech®
A balanced fertility program is essential in achieving maximum potato growth and development for high yield potential. All nutrients are required for optimum performance and are needed at specific growth stages. The ALPINE Potato Program is meant to provide growers with better sources of phosphate, potassium and micronutrients to ensure better plant uptake and nutrient use efficiencies. Incorporating the ALPINE Potato Program into a grower’s overall potato nutrition plan results in better tuber quantity, quality and uniformity.
High yielding potatoes require a large amount of nutrients at the right time, especially nitrogen and potassium. Regardless of variety (red, chip, white, russet, sweet, etc.), all potatoes generally require the same quantity of nutrients for proper growth and development.
Potatoes have an extremely high requirement for phosphorus in the first 60 days of growth, along with a critical need for boron, magnesium and zinc. All these nutrients play a role in the production of new growth and the development of roots and energy for plant growth. Research has shown that phosphorus levels in the plant must start out high and be maintained in the petiole throughout the season until bulking. In Furrow applications of ALPINE G22 along with the necessary micronutrients as determined by soil testing is a proven method to provide these early nutritional requirements.
Potassium is particularly important for prompt availability, as 60% to 70% of the total uptake occurs between 30 and 60 days after emergence (DAE) with as much as 15-20 pounds per day being required. As with all plants, available and adequate potassium ensures the plants functionality. And now with ALPINE’s potassium technology – K-Tech® in products such as ALPINE K24 and ALPINE F18 Max growers can provide superior potassium availability.

GO WITH THE LEADER: ALPINE
- Highest quality liquid starter fertilizers
- Quality, precision placement, seed safe
- Low impurities
- Low salt
- True solution N-P-K
- Orthophosphate (available phosphorus)
- Highly soluble
ALPINE liquid starters and foliars have a neutral pH and are low in both salt index and impurities. These features of our liquid starters enable the product to be placed directly with the seed at planting time. Placement with the wheat seed allows the available phosphorus to be taken up at the critical early stages of growth to maximize yield potential.
Applying available nutrients of ALPINE foliar fertilizer on the plant foliage allows for immediate absorption into the plant in a very short period of time. This immediate uptake promotes better plant health and increased yield potential.
ALPINE liquid starters and foliars contain a high level of orthophosphate. Orthophosphate is immediately available to the plant during the critical early stages of growth. Plants can only take up phosphorus in the orthophosphate form.
