Lots of snow in Ontario. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you at Crop Production Show in January.
Well Ag in Motion is right around the corner and runs from July 19-21 this year. Having attended last year’s show, I expect a huge turnout and lots of amazing things to see and learn. It’s a great opportunity for farmers to get up close the new equipment and technology that is out there and to actually see it in action! From drones to tillage equipment, the demos are endless.
Come see us at the Crop Production show next week in Saskatoon. Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday
When talking to farmers throughout the year, the topic of liquid fertilizer storage is one that gets discussed. Liquid fertilizer can be stored on farm quite easily and efficiently. Storage tanks come in all sizes from a few thousand liters to over 300,000 liters. The most popular are poly tanks and stainless steel tanks. Liquid fertilizer can be delivered direct to farm with Super B loads during the year but a real benefit to having on farm storage is to be able to take advantage of historically lower fall pricing. Liquid fertilizer stored overwinter is circulated and/or bubbled with air early in the spring when the temperatures warm up. This brings the product back into a homogeneous state and is then ready for spring application.
Farmers like new technology and especially new equipment. Some Farmers are getting both this year by setting up their new drill with an ALPINE kit so they can use ALPINE G22 as their starter fertilizer. It was nice to see that Salford Manufacturing from Salford ON offer the ALPINE kit and tank as a factory option.
