Description

ALPINE MicroBolt Mo micronutrients are intended for use in a complete crop nutritional program where a soil and/or plant tissue analysis has indicated a molybdenum deficiency. ALPINE MicroBolt Mo micronutrients may be applied with ALPINE liquid fertilizers, other liquid fertilizers, fertilizer suspensions, nitrogen solutions, or water.
The addition of ALPINE MiroBolt Mo has been shown to aid in nodule growth and better N fixation in Alfalfa and field peas.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Application Rate: Use 15 – 20 grams/ac seed placed in furrow and or 10 – 15 grams/ac as a foliar spray with herbicide and 10 – 15 grams/ac with fungicide application. Total application not to exceed 50/grams/ac/year.
Optimum rate of application will vary between fields, depending on soil pH and organic matter content. Product should be used on the basis of soil and/or tissue analysis.
Maximum of 2L/ac of any combination of micronutrients when mixed with a seed placed starter fertilizer. ** Excess applicaiton of Molybdenum is toxic to crop and to animals eating the crop.

  • Transforms nitrogen into amino acids
  • Allows legumes to symbiotically fix atmospheric Nitrogen
  • Catalyst in oxidation-reduction process

MOLYBDENUM SOIL AVAILABILITY

  • 0.11 – 0.20 in soil is medium amount
  • Availability increases with pH increases

MOLYBDENUM IN THE LEAF

Sufficiency tissue test ranges in ppm

  • Corn: 0.1 – 2.0
  • Small grains: 0.03 – 5.0
  • Soybeans: 1.0 – 5.0

DEFICIENCIES SYMPTOMS

  • Yellowing on older leaves to light green on rest of plant
  • Appears as nitrogen deficiency in legumes
